Microsoft could change the way you play games forever...

Javon C. - Guest Blogger for eSports Jamaica

"The future of gaming is a world where you are empowered to play the games you want, with the people you want, whenever you want, wherever you are, and on any device of your choosing"- Corporate Vice President gaming cloud Microsoft-Kareem Choudhry

That's what Microsoft wrote on their Official blog... I just hope I'll be able to play the best game ever... *snake on my Nokia 3310 and on my Xbox One* - we are probably still a few years from this though... -__-

'Project XCloud' as its called could be the answer to a question that most Gamers including myself have at least once or twice "why cant I play X Game with X  friend on my A, B or C device without having to go through the hassle of having to download it all over again or have the same device as my friends. Whether that be an Xbox only game on my PC or wanting to play a PC only game on my Xbox because a better alternative up until now has not been available -_-

'Project XCloud' will (in theory) allow Gamers to  play with anyone they want without being tied up behind lines of segregation that Gamers up to now just have not been able to break mostly because the technology still has not been readily available.

What is Project xCloud?

As Microsoft said... they want to enable a whole new level of Gameplay, Improve gamer interaction and possibly device integration. Which up until now has not been available in its truest sense... MMPORPG... yes      Gameplay without device restrictions….no

Why Wasn’t this done before....

MMORPG (Multiplayer online) has been around a long time but there was always a gamerfeud/console war "PC vs Console vs Mobile (tablet or phone) gaming" that with  the limitations  "which game releases are better on which console?" (Which made a lot of companies very rich)

How many countries will xCloud be in?

Well... Kareem from Microsoft had this to say...

“Project xCloud will have the capability to make game streaming possible on 4G networks and will dynamically scale to push against the outer limits of what’s possible on 5G networks as they roll out globally. Currently, the test experience is running at 10 megabits per second

Which basically translate to: “Thou who havest crappy internet speed shalt not enjoy thy xCloud”

They have 54 projected regions so far but more to come soon~~~

Microsoft is trying to prioritize gaming experience above all else but who knows they might find a solution that even I  someone who live in the country part of Jamaica can have some chance of experiencing the xCloud

Pros

Cons

More inclusion for new gamers who might not be able to pay for an expensive new console

Flood of newbie players running around ruining the Gameplay

Console wars could be over in a few years

Console wars are a time honored tradition passed down to each new generation of Gamers

This opens up a whole well of possibilities for the gaming industry

Internet speed and internet cost could go up

More types of games available for your choosing

More games will be available for your choosing

Here's the video from Microsoft at E3 2018 to give you more details...
