Just Dance 2019 Qualifier #1

We are ready to get #JUSTDANCEOFF2019 going with our first Kingston Qualifier happening on March 1, 2019 at Digicel HQ.

Events of the day will be recorded and streamed on the Play Go App, The Lab Video Game TV , Empire Arcadia and eSports Jamaica YouTube Channels be sure to like subscribe and comment. 

 

 Tournament Format

Teams

Were are looking for 8 teams made up of 3 people to dance off and bust some moves to rack up the most points to earn the victory! The winner of each qualifier will automatically qualify for the grand finals to be held later this year. 

How it works

  1. There will 10 minute warm up where the selected song is played out in it's entirety twice and all teams get the opportunity to practice to the song.
  2. Teams are then randomly assigned a number from 1 to 8 to see who goes first.
  3. Each team will then dance to the selected song and their scores will be tallied
  4. After all teams have completed dancing we tally the scores and crown the winner of the first qualifier

 

Individuals

The individual tournament will be a Free for all tournament with a maximum of 32 competitors. All scores are tallied and ranked where the person with the highest score is the winner.

How it works

  2. Players will then be randomly paired with a competitor 
  3. Each player will dance to the chosen song and points will be tallied at the end
  4. At the end of the tournament the points will be tallied and the player with the most points wins
  5. If the top two players are tied at the end there will be a dance off to determine the winner

  1. Active eSports Jamaica Account - Login or Create Account to register
  2. Complete all mandatory fields in your eSports Player Profile
  3. Active My Cash Account and App you can download the app using the link or sign up on the day. Bring your ID

We are kicking of the 2019 BestInJa series with a long overdue Fortnite Tournament - collaborating with your friendly neighborhood gamer - Gimmedawin!

Come February 23rd Fortniters across Jamaica will get the opportunity to put their skills to the test and get the chance to win their share of the $10,000 prize pool.

  3. Tournament open to Jamaican Players - If you are not residing in Jamaica you may send a representative to collect on you prizes on your behalf.

Best Mortal Kombat X Player in Jamaica

With the highly anticipated release of Mortal Kombat 11 just around the corner (April 23), eSports Jamaica is setting the battling grounds to determine and crown the Best Mortal Kombat X player in Jamaica. 

Players can earn points by competing in a series of local or online tournaments hosted by eSports Jamaica and affiliates to earn points towards the MKX ladder.

Tournaments will be held on Playstation 4 and Xbox One and points will be entered on two different tables. Once the dust settles and all tournaments have been completed we'll use the points to determine and crown the best MKX player in Jamaica and set the stage for when we move to MK 11. 

First online tournament will run from January 26 - January 31.
